Testimonials

  • I would like to take this opportunity to write to your law firm and thank you for coming through for me when I lost hope in my previous attorney.
  • We will gladly be a reference for you, and we certainly will recommend you as the attorney to have in Louisville.  You have a gift in the way you are able to communicate with your clients and within the legal system.
  • My father would have been so proud to know that his case was driven home with such passion and genius.  Thank you for giving that jury every tool they needed to hold those people accountable for the torture they inflicted on my Dad.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you...
  • You have now made it possible for me to rest assured that I have everything I need now and in the future to cover the expenses of my disability

WHAS 11 News Interviews Hans Poppe About The Karen Sypher Extortion of Rick Pitino Trial.

Recently, WHAS 11 sat down with me to discuss Karen Sypher's lawyers reasons for requesting a change of venue and his motion to strike the jury panel.  Ms. Sypher's lawyer doesn't think she can get a fair trial here in Louisville because of all of the pre-trial publicity and because Coach Rick Pitino is so well-known in this community.

I explained that changes in venue are extremely rare and only happen when the court is convinced there has been a "circus-type" atmosphere surrounding the trial.  I also explain that Ms. Sypher has the unusual benefit of a 30-page questionaire of all the panel members and three days of individual voir dire of each potential jury member.

I explained that I would be very surprised if Judge Simpson moved the trial or started jury selection over again.  Following this interview, Judge Simpson denied the defenses motion to move the trial or strike the panel.  The case is scheduled to start on Monday.

ps another interesting development is that Ms. Sypher's attorney has served a subpoena on Coach Pitino's lawyer, Steve Pence, to testify at trial.  Mr. Pence's lawyers have filed a motion to quash the subpoena, likely claiming attorney-client privilege.

Rick Pitino should be ashamed of himself, but I am sure he is not. He thinks that he is above the law. He has had many material affairs; he has dragged his wife, family and Ms Karen into the dirty ground with him. This man goes after what ever he wants without consequences. He took Boston from Larry Bird, he continued an sexual affair with his personal assistance wife, then to prevent disclosure he had them abort the child.
What a winner, right. He continue to recruit player illegally, don’t act surprised. University of Louisville is supposed to be in the business of producing the future leaders of businesses and corporations. He is not responsible for his own action, and has ruined this women’s marriage, any career, and her family. He only went to FBI,to save face. Louisville will do anything to win. How bad and out of order Louisville Kentucky look to the world.
